At least six people were killed by landslides and floods in the Philippines, a disaster management agency said Monday.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said one person was injured while five others are missing, reports Xinhua.

The NDRRMC said the tropical storm affected a total of 42,987 people in nine provinces in the Philippines.

The storm also damaged 83 houses and rendered a number of roads in the country impassable.
